book in the Max and Millie series was available for ordering on December 22,
2004. Again, using various plants and animals common to North America, author Flory Godinez sets the tale in
the same mythical valley as the first book. Max and Millie work with their
friends, Luis and Lupita, to save Max's orchard from a storm, and in the process
learn about music note values.

At The Pond, the first book in a series of children’s storybooks entitled
The Adventures of Max and Millie, will be available mid-September, 2003. Each book in the series presents a different aspect of music reading, set in an entertaining fairy tale. Using plants and animals common to North America, author Flory Godinez sets the tale in a mythical valley. The characters in At the Pond learn how to read music rest symbols while engaged in a fishing trip. Ms. Godinez introduces Anglo, Hispanic, Black, and Asian characters throughout the series of books.
