Flory Godinez earned bachelor and master’s degrees in music from San Diego State University as well as completing doctoral course work in music theory at the University of Arizona.  She holds a teacher’s certificate from the Saino Kyoiku Ongakuin (Talent Education Institute) of Matsumoto, Japan and is certified to teach the Suzuki violin method in Japan.  She has taught violin to children ages three and up and trained American, Canadian, and Irish violin teachers.

The Adventures of Max and Millie series is an outgrowth of the stories Ms. Godinez tells her students to help them learn music concepts.
